Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

The CRKT A.B.C. (All Bases Covered) Aqua knife is a Jim Hammond design.

The 3.75 inch AUS 8 steel blade has a black titanium nitride finish to protect it from the elements (salt water, etc).

Two sets of Zytel handle scales are included with this diving knife — one set is black and the other is high-visibility yellow.  A torx tool is included to allow easy changing of the scales.

It also comes with a multi-position Zytel sheath that includes a clip.

Triple Eight (888) Professional Knives — SurvivIt, Wright, Talon, Rhino, Kirkidashi, S.O.L.

Friday, July 30th, 2010

Good news everyone, I now carry the Triple Eight Professional line of knives.

For those unfamiliar with Triple Eight Knives, they are located in San Diego and their line consists of six different folders all of which are made from the same materials.  Specifically, all their knives come with blades made from AUS8 stainless steel, and handles made from 420 stainless steel.  All their folders also feature the same patent pending opening system known as T8P Spinner Action. Furthermore, all the handles are the same size and all the blades are only 1.25 inches long.

The various blade designs are the work of  custom knifemakers Kirk Rexroat and Greg Lightfoot along with Roy Huntington who is the editor of American Handgunner magazine.

Both of these feature brown micarta scales and AUS-8 stainless steel for the blades.  The Eagle has a 4 inch blade while the Falcon has a 3.15 inch blade.  Overall length is 9 and 7.15 inches respectively.

Both also feature Al Mar’s front lock and a reversible pocket clip that is attached via the lanyard hole.
