Spyderco Dragonfly2, Assist I, and Shabaria Knives

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Spyderco has come out with a new and improved version of the Dragonfly known as the Dragonfly2.

Improvements include a wire clip that can be positioned for left or right hand carry, bi-directional texturing on the handle, spine and choil jimping, and screw together construction.

The flat gound blade is premium VG-10 steel and the handle is made from fiberglass reinforced nylon.

Currently, I only have the plain-edged version available.

The Assist I is Spyderco’s version of a rescue knife.  It consists of  a partially serrated VG-10 blade  with a blunt tip to prevent injury when cutting seatbelts and the like.

A window breaking carbide tip in the butt of the FRN handle is retractable and can be accessed when the knife is closed by squeezing the blade deeper into the handle.

Finally, a survival whistle is included in handle’s spine.

The Assist is available with either a black or orange handle but I only have the black version available at this time.

Finally, I have some of the Spyderco Shabaria folders available.  This is a unique knife featuring carbon fiber scales and a VG-10 steel blade.

Quantities are limited on this knife so you better get yours while they are available.

Spyderco has expanded the lineup of their Stretch model.

You can now get a ZDP-189 version with a blue FRN handle instead of  expensive carbon fiber:  Blue Spyderco Stretch Knife.

As of right now I have available all three blade configurations of the VG-10 version, but you need to hurry because they are going fast:
